Forsyth Elementary would like to honor our teachers and staff that go above and beyond the call of duty. We are implementing a recognition program called the “Starfish Award”. Our Starfish Award is based on The Starfish Story. Adapted from the book, The Star Thrower, by Loren Eiseley, the moral of the story is that anyone can make a difference in someone’s life; making a difference is important even if it only affects one other person.
The goal of the program is to honor and recognize staff members who have made a difference by contributing a personal effort for the benefit of others and their community. Unique to this program is the nomination process. Staff members may be nominated by their colleagues, parents or community members based on above-and-beyond-the-call-of-duty behaviors that promote our school and its vision. One staff member will be presented with the “Starfish Award” each quarter. The recipients are announced at the Character Education Assemblies. Forsyth Elementary teachers and staff work hard each and every day to educate the students academically, socially and emotionally and we feel this is one way to recognize them for investing and pouring into the lives of our students.
If you know of a teacher or staff member who meets these criteria please click the link below to fill out the nomination form. We appreciate you helping to recognize our amazing team at Forsyth Elementary School.
